Mapleside Sugar Bush

Glazed Parsnips or Carrots

 

3 cups (750 mL) cooked parsnips or carrots
2 tbsp (30 mL) margarine
1/3 cup (75 mL) maple butter

 

Directions: Cook parsnips and/or carrots until just done (tender and crisp). In wok or fry pan, add margarine and maple butter. Bring to warm temperature, about 3 minutes. Add parsnips and/or carrots and coat will with glaze. Sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg over parsnips. Sprinkle chopped parsley over carrots. Serve hot.
